Masoor, arhar declines on sluggish demand

Prices of masoor and arhar fell up to Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale market today owing to slackened demand at prevailing levels.
Marketmen said slackened demand at existing higher levels and adequate stocks position mainly led to the fall in masoor and arhar prices.
In the national capital, masoor small and bold eased to Rs 5,800-5,900 and Rs 5,750-5,900 against last close of Rs 5,800-5,950 and Rs 5,800-5,900 per quintal respectively.
Its dal local and best quality also declined by Rs 200 each to Rs 6,700-6,800 and Rs 6,800-6,900 per quintal respectively.
Arhar and its dal dara variety too weakened by Rs 50 each to 4,900-5,100 and Rs 6,200-6,450 per quintal respectively.
