Masoor and its dal prices rose upto Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale market today due to pick up in demand from retailers against restricted supplies from producing belts.
However, other pulses traded in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said increased demand from retailers against restricted supplies from producing belts, mainly led to the rise in masoor and its dal prices.
In the national capital, masoor small and bold edged up to Rs 5,100-5,300 and Rs 5,150-5,400 from previous levels of Rs 5,050-5,300 and Rs 5,100-5,350 per quintal respectively.
Its dal local and best quality also traded higher by Rs 100 each to Rs 6,100-6,200 and Rs 6,200-6,300 per quintal respectively.
