Masoor, moth slide on sluggish demand

Prices of masoor and moth fell by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today owing to slackened demand from retailers against persistent arrivals from producing belts.
However, rajmah chitra edged higher on scattered buying.
Traders said subdued demand against adequate stocks position mainly led to the fall in masoor and moth prices.
In the national capital, masoor small and bold declined by Rs 50 each to Rs 5,900-6,050 and Rs 5,850-6,050 per quintal, respectively.
Its dal local and best quality also eased by a similar margin to Rs 6,800-6,900 and Rs 6,900-7,000 per quintal, respectively.
Moth also weakened by Rs 50 to Rs 5,250-5,550 per quintal.

On the other hand, rajmah chitra edged up to Rs 4,000-6,000 from previous level of Rs 4,000-5,700 per quintal.
