Traders said apart from pick up in demand from retailers, limited arrivals from producing belts mainly led to the rise in masoor and rajmah prices.
In the national capital, masoor small and bold gained Rs 50 each to Rs 5,600-5,900 and Rs 5,600-5,950 per quintal respectively, while its dal local and best quality advanced by Rs 100 each to Rs 6,700-6,800 and Rs 6,800-6,900 per quintal respectively. Rajmah chitra also edged up by Rs 25 to Rs 4,175-7,775 per quintal.
Gram weakened by Rs 25 to Rs 2,850-3,750 and its dal local and best quality traded lower by Rs 100 each to Rs 3,600-3,800 and Rs 3,700-3,800 per quintal respectively. Besin Shaktibhog and Rajdhani too weakened to Rs 1,400 per 35 bag from Rs 1,450 per 35 kg bag.
