Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Pashu-chikitsa Vigyan Viswavidyalaya Evam Go-Anusandhan Sansthan vice-chancellor K M L Pathak said it has adopted Panchayati Gaushala Vrindaban to begin with and others will be adopted gradually.
A three-member team of doctors for guidance in terms nutrition, breeding, reproduction and medicine has been formed, he said.
"The team consists of expertin nutrition, gynecology and medicine," he said, adding it would visit the 'gaushalas' twice a month to guide and advise them.
"Training for preparation of silage (green fodder stored in airtight conditions without being dried and used in the winter) would also be given since it is not only nutritious, digestive and cheap but animals also like it," Pathak said.

The University has also signed an MOU with Uttar Pradesh Livestock Development Board for supply of semen.
"Good quality of Sahiwal breed semen, as per the MOU, would be received at the University. It would be used for up-gradation of indigenous and non-nondescript, breed of cow present in the 'gaushalas' other areas of the district," he said.
