'Magic Mike' star Matt Bomer is all set to play Hollywood icon Montgomery Clift in a biopic.
Bomar, 35, was fans' favourite to play Christian Grey in 'Fifty Shades of Grey', a role that finally went to Charlie Hunnam but the 'White Collar' star's latest role as Clift is no less important.
Larry Moss will direct the movie from a script by Christopher Lovick, reported the Deadline.
Clift graduated to films from theatre and starred in hits like 'A Place in The Sun' and 'From Here To Eternity'.
Like Marlon Brando, he was famous for his method acting but a devastating car accident in 1956 ruined his good looks leaving him with facial scar, a broken nose and jaw during the shooting of 'Raintree County'.
The actor could never recover from the accident emotionally and started behaving erratically in public and relying heavily on painkillers and alcohol.

Clift, however, continued to act and earned an Academy award nomination for his last performance as an emotionally unstable and tortured concentration camp victim in Stanley Kramer's 'Judgment At Nuremberg'.
He also worked with Clark Gable and Marilyn Monroe in the 1961 film 'The Misfits', which turned out to be the last film by both Monroe and Gable.
Clift died at the age of 45 in 1966.
