Matt Reeves to direct 'Planet of the Apes' movie

Matt Reeves is returning to the director's chair to helm the third installment of the 'Planet of the Apes' franchise 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes', which is slated to release on July 11 this year.
The 20th Century Fox rebooted the movie series with 2011's 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes, which was directed by Rupert Wyatt and written by Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver, said the Hollywood Reporter.
Reeves is best known for 'Cloverfield' and 'Let Me In', the 2010 remake of Scandinavian vampire movie 'Let the Right One In'.
