Matt Shakman will be directing Marvel's upcoming series "WandaVision" which will be a "half sitcom and half full Marvel spectacle".
The new details about the highly-anticipated series, which will be available on Disney's upcoming streaming service Disney+, were announced at the D23 Expo here.
During the presentation, Marvel Studio head Kevin Feige revealed that "Captain Marvel" and "Black Widow" writer Jac Schaeffer will pen the spin-off series.
"This is going to be a series that Marvel fans have never seen before. If is half classic sitcom and half full Marvel spectacular," Schaffer said.
The series, which marks the return of Elisabeth Olsen as Scarlett Witch and Paul Bettany's Vision, also features Teyonah Parris playing an older version of Monica Rambeau (the young girl from "Captain Marvel").
Also joining the series are Kat Dennings, who will reprise her role as Darcy from "Thor" and "Thor: The Dark World", and Randall Park, who will be returning as government agent Jimmy Woo from "Ant-Man and the Wasp".
