The 44-year-old actor, who played Detective Rust Cohle in the acclaimed first run of the HBO drama, said that he would "be open to doing another one" after his positive experience, reported Deadline.
The Oscar winner said that he wouldn't have agreed to join the Nic Pizzolatto drama had he been offered a multi-season deal.
"That was always how I saw it. One season, eight episodes, a finite beginning, middle and end, goodbye, look forward to watching it. If HBO had wanted an option on me for a season two or three, I wouldn't have done it," the 'Dallas Buyers Club' star said.
