Max temperatures below normal across Hry & Pb

In a relief from the sizzling heat conditions, the maximum temperature dropped by few notches and remained below normal limits across Punjab and Haryana today.
In Haryana, Ambala recorded a high of 37.5 degrees Celsius which is two notches below the normal, a Met Department official said here.
Hisar recorded a high of 38 degrees Celsius, which was four notches below normal while Karnal's maximum settled at 37 degrees Celsius, down two notches.
A few places in Punjab, including Bathinda and Pathankot, received light rain.
Patiala recorded a high of 37.6 degrees Celsius, a notch below the normal limits.
The maximum temperature recorded at Amritsar was 35.3 degrees Celsius, four notches below normal limits, while Ludhiana registered a high of 36.5 degrees Celsius, three notches below normal.
Chandigarh, the common capital of the two states, recorded a high of 37 degrees Celsius, a notch below the normal limits.
According to a MeT department forecast valid for the next two days, rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in the two states.
