Max temperatures below normal in Punjab, Haryana

Maximum temperatures today hovered few notches below the normal in Punjab and Haryana.
In Punjab, Ludhiana and Amritsar recorded maximum temperatures of 36.6 deg C and 35.6 deg C, respectively, up to three degrees below normal, MeT department said here.
Patiala settled at 37.2 deg C, one degree below normal.
In Haryana, Ambala, Bhiwani and Karnal recorded maximum temperatures of 37.6 deg C, 37.8 deg C and 37.8 deg C, respectively.
In Hisar and Narnaul, the maximum temperatures were recorded at 37.7 deg C each, up to three degrees below normal.
Union territory Chandigarh recorded a high of 37.6 deg C, according to the MeT department.
Duststorms or thunderstorms along with light rain may occur at isolated places in Punjab and Haryana in the next 48 hours, the department said.
