Chandigarh recorded a maximum temperature of 33.8 degree, the MeT Department said.
In Punjab, Amritsar recorded a high of 31.9 degrees Celcius, down by one notch.
Ludhiana registered 34.2 degree while the maximum tempetature in Patiala's settled at 34.7 degree.
Ambala and Karnal in Haryana recorded 34.5 degree and 35.4 degree respectively and Hisar was slightly hotter at 36 degrees Celcius.
According to the MeT Department, weather is likely to remain dry in both the states over the next three days.
