Ambala recorded a maximum temperature of 36.4 degrees Celsius, one notch below normal, whereas Hisar recorded a high of 38.4 degrees Celsius, two notches below normal.
In Punjab, Amritsar's maximum temperature settled at 36.1 degrees Celsius, two notches below normal while Ludhiana and Patiala recorded maximum temperatures of 36.4 deg C and 37.1 deg C respectively.
