Union Territory Chandigarh recorded a maximum temperature of 33 degrees Celsius, one notch up against the normal, the Met department report said here.
The city received 0.4 mm of rainfall, it said.
In Haryana, Ambala recorded a maximum of 34.3 degrees Celsius and Hisar's maximum was 36 degrees Celsius.
Karnal, Narnaul and Rohtak recorded maximums of 33, 35 and 35 degrees Celsius respectively.
In Punjab, Amritsar recorded a high of 36 degrees Celsius, two notches above the normal limits, while Ludhiana and Patiala recorded a high of 34.9 and 34.8 degrees Celsius, respectively.
