The former UP Chief minister said ideally Ramdev should have appealed to all political parties to find a solution in Parliament and make a Lokpal, but "he called a particular party to his stage to abuse another party and I think this way we would not be able to achieve our goal."
"We will support anyone who raises voice against corruption but the way NDA leaders were sitting there, we could smell politics in it. I think his cause is right but the way he had called political leaders, I don't think it is correct," she told reporters here.
The BSP leader was asked to comment on Ramdev's claims that he had full support of the BSP on the issue of black money.
Mayawati had yesterday stated that her party would support anyone, who is above party politics, agitating against corruption.
On Ramdev's claim about her support, she said, "Yesterday, my statement was being shown in wrong context and Ramdev was also advertising it wrongly till this morning."
The BSP supremo said, "Ideally Ramdev should have appealed all political parties to find a solution in Parliament and make a Lokpal bill.

"He should neither go to NDA nor UPA but seek support from all parties. He should not invite political parties but appeal to them for support as political fronts can never be successful," she said.
Asked if she was satisfied with the steps taken so far by the Centre to address the issue of black money, Mayawati said, "The problem is that the government has not taken any step. So, there is no question of being satisfied."
