The Mayor Helpline (96430-96430) was launched in April this year, but the grievances were hitherto restricted to sanitation and corruption-related issues.
"The Mayor Helpline is also open to citizens for the purpose of dengue prevention measures. If people feel that there is stagnant water somewhere and seem to be conducive for mosquito-breeding or they want fumigation to be done in and around their house, they may call on the helpline," North Delhi Mayor Ravinder Gupta said.
Gupta directed all concerned officers to register complaints related to sanitation, corruption and dengue.
"3,334 complaints were received on the Helpline upto August 31. Out of which, the report of 3,039 complaints after attending and redressal have been received, remaining have also been redressed but the written report is awaited.
"Besides, 155 corruption-related complaints have been received, which have been reviewed and are currently with Director Vigilance for further necessary action," he added.
NDMC has recorded the highest number of dengue cases (776), the highest among all civic bodies till September 12 this year.
NDMC has six Zones -- City, Rohini, Narela, Sadar Paharganj, Karol Bagh and Civil Lines. Among all the zones, the maximum cases have been reported from Narela (260).
As per the municipal corporation's data till September 12, at least 613 cases of dengue have been reported in the last one week.
