"As in the past, a cream of Indian players including rising stars like Mohit Mayur, P C Vignesh, Ashwin Vijayaraghavan besides veterans like Nitin Kirtane and Vijay Kanannan, will vie against each other in the competition," Tournament Director Niranjan Ramesh told reporters here.
In the women's section, the top draw will be the local lass Sharmada Balu, besides a pool of young talents like Sai Samhita, Nupur Kaul and Manya Nagpal.
In the Rs 3.5 lakhs tournament, the individual men's and women's champions will receive Rs 27,300 and Rs 18,200 respectively, while the purse for the runners up will be Rs 18,900 and Rs 12,600 for men and women, Ramesh said.
Besides men's singles and women's singles, there will also be men's doubles and women's doubles.
The main draw on September 9, will be preceded by qualifying rounds on September 7 and 8 and over 300 players are expected to figure in the qualifying draw, and top eight players in the men's and women's qualifying rounds will make it to the main draw, Ramesh said.
