MCA draws up plan for Swachh Bharat Mission implementation

Surprise checks will be carried by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs to assess cleanliness level at its premises and departments coming under it, as part of implementing the Swachh Bharat Mission.
Under annual plan for the Mission, an award would be presented to the best maintained and clean section at the Ministry.
Regular cleaning of premises, including staircase, ensuring adequate drinking water supply are among the steps that are part of the plan.
An inspection team has been set up to carry out "surprise check" to assess cleanliness level.
Swachh Bharat is a major initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government to ensure cleanliness across the country.
Repairing electrical points and putting sagging wires in channels as well as timely disposal of obsolete items are also part of the Ministry's plan.

Further, the Ministry would review the progress and take corrective or remedial action wherever necessary.
Besides field offices and professional institutes coming under the Ministry have been asked to take steps for promoting Swachh Bharat Mission.
The Ministry has also prepared a five-year action plan for the Mission.
"As the implementation of the Mission is reviewed regularly at the highest level, your cooperation is solicited in ensuring that the action plans are given effect on priority basis," the Ministry said in a communication.
It has been sent to the regional directors, Competition Commission of India, Company Law Board, Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, Serious Fraud Investigation Office, Competition Appellate Tribunal, and the institutes of chartered accountants, cost accountants and company secretaries.
