"Applications are invited from the technology consultants for engagement as consultant (IT) for MCA-21 project of Ministry of Corporate Affairs on contract basis initially for a period of one year," a ministry circular said.
The IT consultant would be required to give independent inputs for evaluation of new services and getting associated with the Ministry for implementing them, among others.
It also said that the consultant would have to "provide professional, objective, and impartial advice and at all times hold the Ministry's interests paramount, strictly avoid conflicts with other assignments/jobs or their own corporate interests and act without any consideration for future work".
Initially the consultant would be hired for 1 year and could be extended by 1 year "at the discretion of the Ministry subject to satisfactory performance".

The candidates would be required to have at least 15 years of relevant experience in IT Projects and minimum 5 years experience in e-Governance projects with relevant experience in software application design, development, architecture, and technology management.
Selection of the consultant would be through a competitive process and interested candidates would have to submit two kinds of proposals -- Technical and Commercial.
Through the MCA21 online portal, corporate sector stakeholders and investors alike gain secure access to an array of services provided by the Ministry.
The portal also facilitates the mandatory filing of various documents by firms with the Ministry.
