"We have served notices to about 300 properties as part of a demolition drive and knocked down illegal constructions in 52 properties," NDMC Public Relations Officer Yogendra Singh Mann said.
The maximum work has been carried out in the Sadar Paharganj Zone with over 30 demolitions and one sealing of property, followed by Rohini Zone with 12 demolitions and a sealing. City Zone faced six demolitions, the NDMC said.
"Due to polls, forces needed for demolition are otherwise deployed on election duty and hence the work cannot be carried on as we do it in normal time," he said.
The official also informed about demolition work carried out in Wazirpur Industrial Area a few days back.
