The dengue death reported today has taken the official MCD death toll to "three", while 374 new cases were announced by the municipal corporations today, taking the total for the city to over 1,700.
The latest victim has been identified as six-year-old Priya from Okhla in south Delhi who succumbed to dengue on September 23, the report said.
Clarifying its position after North Delhi Mayor Azad Singh had earlier said he had received reports of "11 (dengue) deaths from the Shahbad-Daulatpur area", NDMC today said in a separate report that "the 11 victims had died due to the other medical reasons and not dengue".
"Since we only consider ELISA Test for confirmation, as per central government guidelines, the three will be treated as suspected dengue death cases.

"They were administered the Rapid Kit test, which MCD does not acknowledge," said South Delhi Municipal Corporation Commissioner, Manish Gupta.
For Delhi region, till today, 1,698 dengue cases have been reported while 31 have been reported from Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and other states.
The dengue figures for the various corporations as of today were North (837), South (408) and East (368).
All corporation have intensified efforts to check the disease, but officials said they were facing a lack of cooperation from households.
"Some people do not let Domestic Breeder Checkers (DBCs) to enter their households. Some even quarrel with them, hence, it makes our job difficult," the SDMC Commissioner said.
"A special team has also been constituted under the Commissioner with representatives from various departments to combat the situation," Mann told PTI.
Meanwhile, Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad today reviewed the state government's preparedness for tackling dengue with Delhi Health Minister AK Walia and other senior office-bearers of the city civic bodies and heads of prominent city hospitals.
