MCFL sees over 3-fold rise in Q3 net profit at Rs 22.94 cr

Fertiliser firm MCFL today posted a three-fold jump in its standalone profit at Rs 22.94 crore in the third quarter of this fiscal on higher sales.
Net profit stood at Rs 7.73 crore in the same period of the last fiscal, the company said in a regulatory filing.
Total income increased to Rs 668.10 crore in the October- December period of the 2017-18 fiscal, from Rs 550.44 crore in the year-ago period.
Expenses also remained higher at Rs 634.20 crore as against Rs 538.66 crore in the said period.
Shares of the company rose by 5.57 per cent to settle at Rs 68.25 apiece on BSE today.
