The council inspects very old medical colleges once in five years and new colleges every year, they said
The team would inspect the administrative infrastructure, staff strength and facilities for students, including the laboratory and library facilities, officials said.
The inspection report would pave the way for admission of students from the next academic year, including increasing the number of students, they said.
The inspection was due in 2012, but was delayed by two years as almost all infrastructure in the medical college cum hospital was in place, officials said.
