MCL launches e-surveillance to monitor operations

Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd (MCL), a subsidiary of Coal India, has inaugurated an electronic surveillance system for the purpose monitoring operations at the plant here.
The surveillance system, which would also do the real time monitoring of mining and dispatch activities in the coalfield areas, was inaugurated by MCL's CMD A N Sahay after the cololourful celebrations of Independence Day at company headquarters here.
Sahay was also briefed about the operations of e-surveillance system by Chief Vigilance Officer Deepak Srivastava.
With this new e-initiative, now all the operations and the data generating in the mining areas of MCL will be directly under surveillance at the company headquarters here.
A K Tiwari, Director (Technical/Operations), J P Singh, Director (Technical/Projects & Planning) and K K Parida, Director (Finance) were prominent among senior officers of MCL present on the occasion.
Earlier, Sahay unfurled the Tricolour at MCL Anand Vihar grounds and took salute of marching contingents of Security Guards, NCC Cadets, Scouts, Guides and students of various schools, who also competed in the colourful patriotic programme organised to celebrate the day.
Greeting all on the 69th Independence Day, the CMD also congratulated all the members of MCL for achieving 121 million tonne production and 123 million tonne in year 2014-15. He said that company would certainly achieve new milestones during 2015-16.
