Assam Government today urged everybody to exercise extreme restraint to help restore normalcy in violence-hit Karbi Anglong district and Bodoland Territorial Autonomous District (BTAD) areas.
The government, in a statement here, also asked the media - both print and visual - to help in maintaining peace and harmony by exercising restraint in reporting cases of violence in the two areas.
Violence erupted in the two areas on July 31 demanding separate Karbi Anglong and Bodoland states after the UPA government announced the creation of Telangana state.
