Medical officers to be deployed in Raj to check swine flu

Rajasthan government has directed senior medical officers from the medical directorate to go to various districts for effective monitoring of cases of swine flu, which has claimed 28 lives in the state in the new year.
State Health Minister Rajendra Rathore has asked Director Public Health B R Meena to depute senior medical officers and field officers of the medical directorate in Jaipur in different districts so that effective monitoring of the swine flu cases can be done.
During a video-conferencing with officials, Rathore said that officers in charge will go to their respective districts, co-ordinate with local authorities and will dispatch reports on the status of swine flu to the directorate on daily basis.
The minister reviewed arrangements made by the department to contain the rise in swine flu cases and asked the officials to dispatch rapid response teams in flu affected areas and screening of patients in houses.
Out of 113 cases which were found positive in the state, 28 people have succumbed to the H1N1 virus this year.
