Medium sugar remains weak on sliding demand, good supply

Medium sugar prices declined further at the Vashi wholesale sugar market here today due to reduced demand from stockists and bulk consumers, amid increased selling by mills.
However, small sugar variety continued to rule steady in the absence of necessary buying support.
Medium sugar (M-30) shed by Rs 10 per quintal to Rs 3,182/3,311 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 3,192/3,311.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,182/3,311 (Rs 3,192/3,311).
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,066/3,145 (Rs 3,066/3,145).
