The 13th Annual India Business Conference will be held on April 8 at Columbia University. The theme for this year's conference is 'Route to Resurgence: Shaping India's New Destiny'.
"After 25 years of economic liberalisation, India as a nation has finally realised that the ingenuity of its entrepreneurs and the market potential of its billion plus people are the keys to its prosperity," the organisers said on the conference's website.
They added that this shift in thinking, despite India's many problems, is one of the most interesting ideas to explore and has implications not just for India but also for those who wish to do business in the country.
Amrinder Singh Chawla, assistant vice president of the South Asia Business Association that hosts the conference, said this year's conference is crucial "considering the recent major changes in the political and economic landscape of India owing to 2017 assembly elections and demonetization".
