In the tactical exercise that began on October 19 at Vladivostok in Russia, the two countries particularly focused on combating terrorism.
The exercise focused on the conduct of counter insurgency operations under United Nations mandate in a joint service environment, the defence ministry said in a statement.
The exercise Indra also focused on achieving coordination between forces of the two countries in a tri-services integrated theatre command scenario.
It was for the first time India participated in a tri-services exercise with a foreign country with such a large scale participation by the Navy, the Army and the Air Force, a senior Army official said.
After intense and exacting military training, the joint exercise concluded with a closing ceremony, wherein both the contingents showcased their immense talents with unique traditional touches, the ministry said.
