Meghalaya CM congratulates Modi, assures full cooperation

Meghalaya Chief Minister Mukul Sangma today congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and assured full cooperation to the newly formed BJP-led government at the Centre.
Mukul, who heads a Congress-led coalition government in the state, did not attend the swearing-in ceremony of Modi. He wrote a letter to the PMO saying,"I take this opportunity to assure you of our full support and cooperation."
Expressing his keenness to work for the benefit of the people, the CM said, "We all look forward to working with you (Modi) on matters of common concern... I am sure relations between the Centre and the states will grow in mutual confidence in the larger interests of our nation."

Pointing out that states in the North Eastern region and Meghalaya in particular, have their unique challenges as well as opportunities, Mukul said, "Together, we need to address these on utmost priority".
