Meghalaya govt writes to Centre for clarification

The decision in this regard was taken in the wake of the alleged allotment of medical seats from the state quota to the children of the faculty teaching at the super specialty hospital (NEIGRIHMS) here.

"We have written to the Ministry over the de-allotment of two seats meant for the state government," Deputy Chief Minister Rowell Lyngdoh said.

The Union Health Ministry had allotted nine seats for students belonging to Meghalaya before de-allotting two seats, he said.
