Wajri, who became the first woman home minister in the Northeast when she was sworn in last year, tendered her resignation on November 20 claiming "moral responsibility" for the "violence and senseless killings" in Garo Hills region.
She did not attend Friday's session, but was present on Saturday as the Chief Minister inaugurated a multi-facility utility centre-cum-community hall at her constituency in Mawkhar.
"The state of violence resulting in the remorseless killing of innocent people and security personnel has pained me so much... I take full moral responsibility for the violence and senseless killings," Warjri had told PTI.
Chief Minister Mukul Sangma said AICC leaders were apprised of the situation arising out of Warjri tendering her resignation.
"There may be reshuffling of portfolios or there may be some minor reshuffling because we have many competent and capable people," he told reporters adding, "We are aware of certain concerns which she (Warjri) had expressed... It should be taken in a much more positive perspective.
