"I will establish a centre which I called the 'Incubation Centre' for Meghalaya for providing training and skilling to the youths," the minister of state for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises told reporters at a news conference here.
Stating that the BJP-led NDA government's main focus is on the youths, he said, "the proposed incubation centre aims at empowering at least 5,000 youths in a year."
He said the project cost for the setting up of the incubation centre will be estimated according to the state and the training models adopted.
He also informed that the Centre is targeting implementation of over 1,100 projects out of the total 13,337 projects sanctioned under PMEGP for all the Northeast states.

"The targeted projects for Meghalaya is 1,133," Singh said while informing that at present only 185 projects have been sanctioned so far with 1,480 beneficiaries recorded in the state.
Apart from Meghalaya, the Centre has sanctioned 5,101 projects for Assam, 1,350 for Manipur, 1,017 for Mizoram, 1,514 for Nagaland, 923 for Tripura and 526 for Sikkim, he informed.
Further, the Union minister also informed that he is contemplating to develop a cluster for traditional agro products such as honey and bee honeying.
Singh also talks about empowering the women folks by establishing a Charka run by solar energy.
Stating the total population of women is 50 crore, he said, "The Charka is my dream project targeting that at least 10 per cent of the women can earn Rs 5,000 per month.
