Mehbboba lays wreaths on mortal remains of slain Army

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti today laid wreaths on the mortal remains of seven Army personnel killed in militant attacks yesterday here.
She expressed solidarity with the families of the slain jawans and officers and prayed for peace to the departed souls.
Mehbooba said the cycle of violence has brought immense miseries to the people of the state who want an end to it.
Director General of Police, senior officers of Army and civil administration were present on the occasion.
Jammu region was rocked by two terror attacks yesterday in which 7 army personnel, including two Major-rank officers, were killed and eight other securitymen, including a BSF DIG, were injured, before six heavily-armed terrorists were eliminated in the separate fierce encounters.
