During an interaction with people, she said development of Kishtwar had remained close to her heart and the government would give the necessary push to the developmental activities so that people in the area reap the benefitsat the earliest.
She said, this year Rs 6 crore would be spent on upgrading tourist facilities in the district and in the coming four years Rs 50 crore would be spent on tourism sector in the region.
She said with the setting up of new Panchayats many local issues of the people would be redressed immediately.
She also met a delegation of District Bar Association who demanded deputation of mobile traffic magistrate besides regulating traffic in the main town, while Congress deputation demanded setting up of a fire station at Chatroo besides construction of Chatroo-Singhpora-Vailoo tunnel.
A BJP delegation demanded enhancement in the ration quota andupgrade of Batote-Kishtwar road, while a PDP deputation sought opening of a Womens' College in the town and asked the CM to direct power companies working in the district to spend money under CSR for infrastructure development in the area.
