The former prime minister coined the slogan, Insaniyat, Jamhuriyat, Kashmiriyat", (humanism, democracy and Kashmirs age-old legacy of Hindu-Muslim amity), in a speech in Kashmir in an effort to resolve the Kashmir issue and bring lasting peace to the region.
