Meizu launches m3 note in India for Rs 9,999

Alibaba-backed Meizu today launched its 'm3 note' in the Indian market for Rs 9,999.
The device will be available from May 31 on Amazon.In.
"With the m3 note we are striving to re-energise the Indian sub-Rs 10,000 category by offering a power packed product at an affordable price point. The m3 note is geared towards the Indian youth," Meizu India Marketing Head Leon Zhang said.
Meizu entered the Indian market last year with its flagship phone MX5 in August and has added m2 note and m2 to its portfolio in the country.
The m3 note features 5.5-inch display, octacore MediaTek processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB memory (expandable upto 128GB), 13MP rear and 5MP front camera and 4,100 mAh battery.

TranServ ropes in Executives from MasterCard, MobiKwik
* Digital payments company TranServ today said it has made two additions to strengthen its leadership team, roping in executives from firms like MasterCard and MobiKwik.
The Micromax-backed firm has appointed Salil Mody as its Senior Vice President Corporate Strategy and Ushpinder Singh as the SVP and Head Merchant Business, it said in a statement.
These appointments highlight the company's focus on key areas of business strategy as well as creating the right blend of people in the organisation, it added.
Mody has worked at PayPal and MasterCard. At TranServ, he will focus on driving corporate strategy, inorganic growth and innovative initiatives like micro-credits, it said.
Singh has joined TranServ from MobiKwik to lead the Merchants Business and would be responsible for sales of the Udio product suite with a focus on API integrations and digital payment solutions, it added.

Fintech startup BeeWise launches 'savings' wallet * Mumbai-based fintech startup BeeWise has launched a savings wallet to help consumers save money on their daily expenses across online and offline stores through a cashback model.
BeeWise Wallet, which is powered by Citrus Pay, uses purchase intelligence to understand consumer preferences. It provides merchants with key insights from historical purchase data to identify, reach, and influence likely buyers and measure the sales impact of their marketing campaigns.
It has already analysed five million transactions worth USD 500 Million across over 60 banks in India.

Synechron acquires global financial consultancy Hatstand * IT firm Synechron today said it has acquired Hatstand, a global financial services consultancy and capital markets specialist for an undisclosed amount.
This acquisition further builds Synechron's consulting capabilities for financial institutions in key areas such as cybersecurity, market data and risk and regulatory compliance, it said in a statement.
Mondelez India appoints Hemant Rupani as Director, Sales
* Mondelez India Foods, part of Mondelez International Inc, the maker of popular Cadbury's chocolates, today appointed former Britannia Industries sales head Hemant Rupani as Director - Sales, India.
Rupani will report to Mondelez India Foods Managing Director Chandramouli Venkatesan and will be a part of Asia Pacific Sales Leadership Team, the company said in statement.
Prior to the new assignment, Rupani was working with Britannia Industries Ltd where he was heading the sales vertical for the business encompassing biscuits, cakes and dairy and breads division. He has also worked with Vodafone India Ltd, PepsiCo India Holdings Ltd and Infosys.

This is Sterlite's second smart city project win, the company said in a statement.

Airtel launches scheme offering 3G, 4G data at low pricing * Bharti Airtel has launched a scheme offering double 3G and 4G data quantity at 22-42 per cent lower rates than the prevailing ones.
Under the double data scheme launched by the company, Airtel customers will get 2 GB data for Rs 296 which will include 1GB of 3G or 4G for regular use while 1 GB data for use during night. This effectively is about 42 per cent less compared to the price of regular 3G or 4G data pack.
Similarly, the company has introduced 20 GB double data pack for Rs 3,346 compared to regular scheme of 20 GB 3G or 4G usage available at a price of Rs 2,149.
Airtel has announced nine data packs under the double data scheme.
