Singer Melanie Brown has slammed a newspaper report that she was allegedly taken hostage by husband Stephen Belafonte at the couple's home in London in December, last year.
According to the report, Belafonte, 39, will face questioning by police over these claims, reported the Daily Express.
Brown, 39, took to Twitter to quash the reports. "Please don't believe what you read it's all lies lies lies as usual, (sic)" she tweeted.
A representative for the couple also denied these claims, saying, "Both Mel and Stephen categorically deny this is true and the police have not contacted Stephen."
Brown's eight-year-old marriage to Belafonte is said to be on the rocks for past few months.
Rumours surrounding her troubled marriage have been circulating since she was rushed to hospital in early December with abdominal pain which forced her to miss her show 'The X Factor'.
Some viewers suggested that she had visible bruises on her face and scars on her arms when she returned to the show. It was speculated that Belafonte was behind those bruises. Brown, however, defended him.
