Police were tipped off that a Madhya Pradesh-based manufacturer of illegal firearms was trying to supply weapons to Delhi through his gang member, Deputy Commissioner of Police (special cell) Pramod Singh Kushwah said.
Acting on the tip off, a team was formed to nab the supplier.
The accused, Suresh, was yesterday spotted near Nand Nagri carrying a bag. He was apprehended by the team when he was about to leave the place after no one turned up to collect the consignment, he said.
During interrogation, Suresh revealed that five of these weapons were to be delivered to a person in Nand Nagri here and remaining 10 to two other persons in Firozabad of Uttar Pradesh, the officer said.

Suresh also revealed that he previously also supplied firearms to people in Delhi, NCR and Uttar Pradesh.
The arrested accused was working as a helper with a mason and as a tractor driver in agricultural fields too.
About six months ago, Suresh came in contact with arms manufacturer Baljith Singh alias Balia, a resident of Burhanpur in Madhya Pradesh, through his brother-in-law and started working as carrier of illegal firearms for him, " the officer said.
