Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today said his government was not interfering with the ongoing inquiry into the alleged memorial scam during the previous Mayawati regime in Uttar Pradesh.
Action would be taken against all those found guilty, he said.
"You all have seen what was done in the name of construction of memorials (during the BSP regime). Action will be taken against those found guilty. The government is not interfering with the inquiry," Yadav said.
The BSP had alleged the SP government was settling political scores in the name of probe.
When asked about problems facing cane-growers in the state, Yadav said his government was not against farmers and it wanted sugar mills to run.
The farmers should get price of their produce, he said.

"We have waived loans of farmers and are providing free water for irrigation to them," he said.
Replying to a question regarding fielding of Atique Ahmad from Sultanpur seat in the next Lok Sabha polls on the SP ticket, Yadav said "no one is above law in SP."
Atique, who has several criminal cases pending against him, was a member of 14th Lok Sabha from Phulpur constituency.
Alleging the previous government worked against sports and sportsmen, Yadav said his government was constructing stadiums and promoting sports.
"Due to attempts of the state government and the BCCI, Green Park stadium once again witnessed an international cricket match," he said.
