The left-hander hit three fours and an equal number of sixes during his unbeaten knock to help Mustangs to a comfortable win after Kangaroos mustered just 94 runs from their stipulated quota of 15 overs in a rain truncated tie.

Earlier, Vivek Yadav (23) and Sanjay Bharti (31) made useful contributions with the bat for Kangaroos, but fall of wickets at regular intervals meant that they could not reach a challenging total.

Meanwhile, in another match Rashmi Ranjan Parida-led Panthers prevailed over Tigers by 42 runs via D/L method after rain did not allow the match to be completed.

Panthers rode on Akul Vikay's 65-run knock to pile up a total of 149 before Sikandar Khan (4 for 19) ran through the Tigers batting lineup to reduce them to 83 for 8 in 15.2 overs.

Brief scores:

Kangaroos: 94 for 9 in 15 overs (Vivek Yadav 23, Sanjay Bharti 31; Gaurav Sharma 3/19, Manjeet Singh 2/10). Mustangs 95 for 1 in 12.5 overs (Ashok Menaria 48 not out, Ankit Lamba 29 not out).

Panthers: 149 for 7 in 20 overs (Akul Vijay 65, R R Parida 27; Raman Chahar 3/31, Kuldeep Singh 2/22). Tigers 83 for 8 in 15.2 overs (Raman Chahar 21 not out, Puneet Yadav 15; Sikandar Khan 4/19, Rubal Tolia 2/14).
