Amid profit-booking by speculators and subdued spot demand, mentha oil prices fell by 0.27 per cent to Rs 885.10 per kg in futures trade today.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in March fell Rs 2.40, or 0.27 per cent, to Rs 885.10 per kg, with a business volume of 213 lots.
Also, mentha oil for April delivery drifted Rs 1.60, or 0.17 per cent, to Rs 898 per kg, with a business turnover of 69 lots.
The fall in mentha oil prices at futures trade was mostly due to profit-booking by speculators and weak trend at spot market on subdued demand, marketmen said.
