Mentha oil extend gains, up 0.35% on rising demand

Amid rising domestic demand at spot market and restricted supplies from producing regions, mentha oil prices rose further by 0.35 per cent to Rs 950.20 per kg in futures trade today as participants enlarged positions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in far-month March edged up by Rs 3.70, or 0.35 per cent to Rs 950.20 per kg in business turnover of 49 lots.
On similar lines, the oil for delivery in February contracts traded higher by Rs 2.50, or 0.27 per cent to Rs 939.50 per kg in 313 lots.
Analysts said besides pick up demand in the spot market, restricted supplies from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh kept mentha oil prices higher at futures trade.
