Mentha oil prices climbed 0.86 per cent to Rs 1,316 per kg in futures market today after participants raised bets amid rise in demand from consuming industries at the spot market against restricted arrivals from producing regions.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery this month contract was higher by Rs 11.20, or 0.86 per cent, to Rs 1,316 per kg, clocking a business volume of 147 lots.

The oil for June delivery was trading higher by Rs 5.20, or 0.45 per cent to Rs 1,173.60 per kg, with a trading volume of 113 lots.
