Mentha oil prices were down by Rs 7.90, 0.93 per cent to Rs 840.50 per kg in futures trade today as speculators booked profits amid subdued spot demand.
Besides, adequate stocks in the physical market following increased arrivals from producing regions put pressure on prices.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in April fell by Rs 7.90, or 0.93 per cent, to Rs 840.50 per kg, with a business volume of 459 lots.
Similarly, mentha oil prices for May delivery drifted by Rs 7.80, or 0.90 per cent, to Rs 850.70 per kg, with a business turnover of 582 lots.
The fall in mentha oil prices at futures trade was mostly due to profit-booking by speculators and weak trend at spot market on subdued demand.
