Mentha oil prices fell 1.43 per cent, to Rs 847.10 per kg in futures trade today as speculators booked profits amid subdued spot demand.
Further, rising arrivals from major producing belts of Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh also influenced mentha oil futures.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in April fell by Rs 12.30 or 1.43 per cent to Rs 847.10 per kg with a business volume of 110 lots.
Similarly, mentha oil for May month delivery traded down by Rs 5.70 or 0.65 per cent to Rs 863.30 per kg with a business turnover of 279 lots.
The fall in mentha oil prices at futures trade was mostly attributed to profit-booking by speculators and weak trend at spot market on subdued demand, marketmen said.
