Mentha oil prices eased by 0.36% to Rs 686.20 per kg in futures market today due to weak demand from consuming industries in the spot market against higher supplies from producing regions.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange market, mentha oil for delivery in November declined by Rs 2.50, or 0.36% to Rs 686.20 per kg in business turnover of 448 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in December traded lower by Rs 2.30, or 0.32% to Rs 698 per kg in 578 lots.

Analysts said besides weak demand from consuming industries in the spot market, higher supplies from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh mainly influenced mentha oil prices at futures trade.
