Mentha oil futures extend gain, up 0.30% on rising demand

Mentha oil prices advanced by 0.30 per cent to Rs 863.20 per kg in futures trading today as participants enlarged positions, taking positive cues from spot market on rising demand from consuming industries.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in far month July went up by Rs 2.60 or 0.30 per cent to Rs 863.20 per kg in a business turnover of 3 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in June contracts edged up by Rs 2 or 0.24 per cent to Rs 853 per kg in 83 lots.
Analysts said besides rising demand from consuming industries in the spot markets, tight stocks position on restricted supplies from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh kept mentha oil prices higher at futures trade.
