Mentha oil futures fall 0.58% on sluggish demand

Mentha oil prices fell 0.58 per cent to Rs 917.50 per kg in futures trade today as speculators reduced their positions amid sluggish demand from consuming industries in the spot market.
Besides, adequate stocks in the physical markets following increased arrivals from producing regions put pressure on mentha oil.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in July eased by Rs 5.40, or 0.58 per cent to Rs 917.50 per kg in business turnover of 202 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in August drifted by Rs 4.20, or 0.44 per cent to Rs 930.50 per kg in 712 lots.

Analysts attributed fall in mentha oil prices to sluggish demand from consuming industries in the spot market against increased arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh.
