Mentha oil futures fall 1.40% on profit-booking

Mentha oil prices were down 1.40 per cent to Rs 1,065.00 per kg in futures trade today, amid profit-booking by speculators and subdued spot demand.
Besides, adequate stocks in the physical market on higher supplies from producing regions put pressure on prices.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in July was trading down by Rs 15.10, or 1.40 per cent, at Rs 1,065.00 per kg in a business turnover of 795 lots.
The oil for delivery in July contracts also traded lower by Rs 13.80, or 1.26 per cent at Rs 1,082.70 per kg in 253 lots.

Marketmen attributed the fall in mentha oil prices to profit-booking by speculators at existing levels amid sluggish demand at the spot market.
